The Washington & Old Dominion (W&OD) Trail runs through Bon Air Park. This nest box trail runs west and uphill of the W&OD Trail just north of Wilson Boulevard.

Nine existing Chickadee and House Wren nest boxes were incorporated into VBS in 2023. The boxes were built between 2014 and 2023.
